10 USEFUL TIPS FOR PHOTOSHOP
- Control + Alt + T Create a duplicate of the selection as a floating selection.Copy the object you want to transform. Handy to copy a line and resize it for each line.
- Alt + [ or ] Select the next layer down/up. Change the active layer and move up or down in the layers menu.
- Control + [ or ] Move target layer down/up. Move the active layer up or down in the layers menu.
- Using the Polygonal Lasso Tool, press Backspace to cancel the last step. It's very useful when you create a complex selection.
- Press D to reset the foreground and background colours to their default colours: black and white.
- Press Alt to make the Burning Tool act as the Dodge Tool, and vice versa.
- You can move the layer to any other open image in photoshop, this will create a copy of the layer. Hold down the Shift key while dragging, and the layer contents will be pasted exactly into the centre.
- Press Tab to hide the toolbar and palettes, Shift+Tab will hide the palettes only.
- After applying the filter, you can soften its effect with Fade by pressing Shift+Ctrl+F. Gives you more control over the filters.
- You can copy the layer mask by dragging it with Alt to another layer.
