Saving render elements in Corona Render and V-ray
Today we will talk about render elements. The final render that we get usually lacks contrast, some liveliness and artistry. In photoshop you can process the image by applying various effects. But the ability to process the picture will be limited, and if you have handy render elements, the processing will be more flexible and faster. Let's talk about how to add a render element in the settings and save them in the V-ray and Corona Render.
This is universal for both V-ray and Corona. When our scene is ready and set up, we need to add render elements. Go to the render settings (F10). Select the items you want and add them to the list.
CESSENTIAL_Direct - direct lighting.
CESSENTIAL_Emission - self-lighting (luminous material).
CESSENTIAL_Indirect - indirect self-illumination (luminous material).
CESSENTIAL_Reflect - reflection.
CESSENTIAL_Refract - transparency.
CMasking_ID - displays each material of the scene in a separate color. It has different settings. You can choose how the geometry will be identified: Primitive ID, Material ID, Instance ID, Geometry group ID.
And now let's assign the path for saving the selected elements. To do this, go to the tab Common and in the section render output in front of the option save files check the box. Click on the files... button and select the folder where you want to save the render elements.
Specify where to look for the files and their format. Start the renderer, wait for it to finish and go to the folder we specified. There will be all the files that can be used for processing.
You can save the render elements in a framebuffer (Virtual Frame Buffer) .
To save all the files at once, click on the corner of the floppy disk and Save All.
Choose where to save it and the file format.
Click on the corner of the floppy disk and Save all image channels to separate files.
Save the elements in the desired format in the folder of your choice.
Render elements should not be neglected, they can help you cope with many problems in post-processing. You can add light, richness or remove noise. Post-processing will be your highlight, just try working with render elements!
Also, it is very convenient and effective to use Photoshop to improve the final picture.
Have a good render!
