What is MassFx and how can it be used in interiors making?
MassFx is a plugin built into 3ds Max that creates a physical simulation. The plugin allows you to scatter various objects. You can fill a basket with apples or a vase with candy.
The objects should be placed above the form to be filled.
First, let's take the MassFix panel out of the menu and place it in a convenient location.
Then let's specify static objects, in our case it will be a table and a bowl. In the Shape Type parameter, select Original.
Next, let's mark dynamic objects. These will be apples. Let's run the simulation.
In the simulation, we see that some of the apples seem to have "fallen" under the table. Let's fix it by going to the Motion List and in the World Parameters increase the value of Substeps.
With MassFix you can easily place small objects in a container. Also you can "bake" the simulation with the Bake command.
