3Ds Max important hotkeys

Using 3ds Max Keyboard Shortcuts can make the workflow in this software very fast. It is important to learn the shortcut keys. Here's a little cheat sheet on the most commonly used ones.

Press the mouse wheel - move in the viewport

Alt+mouse wheel - rotate around the object

Rotate wheel - zoom in/out

Ctrl+Alt+click wheel - smooth zoom in/out

Alt+W - Maximize Viewport Toggle \ Minimize Viewport Toggle

Alt+Q - Isolate Selection (everything else is hidden)

W - Select and Move

E - Select and RotateSelect and Rotate

R - Smart Scale

H - Select By Name

F - Front View

L - Left View

P - Perspective User View

T - Top View

C - Camera View

G - Show Grid

S - Snaps Toggle

A - Angle Snap Toggle

M - Material Editor Toggle

F2 - Viewport Selection Shade Selected Faces Toggle

F3 - Wireframe / Smooth+Highlights Toggle (objects are transparent)

F4 - View Edged Faces Toggle

F10 - Render SetUp
