Retopology modifier

Retopology Tools help you to automatically optimize the geometry of high-resolution models. You can get a clean, quad-based mesh. When 3D topology is clean, the model's vertices, edges, and faces are better organized. You can easily correct the form of the model and rendering will require less memory.

Retopology has modes: ReForm, QuadriFlow and Instant Mesh. ReForm works best.

Face Count is the number of polygons the model will have after retopology. By default it is 5000, but often you have to change it. For example, we set 50000 for our lion. The higher this value is, the better the shape of the model will be saved.

Compute is a button for starting calculation and rebuilding of the mesh. The process itself takes some time.

Reset - resets the created mesh and returns to its initial form.

Press 7 to show the current poly count in the top left of the viewport.
