What's the best way to show your portfolio?

Let's say you want to get a job in a studio and send your portfolio to a prospective employer.
Imagine that an employer is looking for a 3D visualizer for his studio. And his ad immediately begins to send portfolios. Here are a few mistakes that make it hard for employers to look at your portfolio. Please avoid them!

1. Good 3D artists looking for work are few and far between. About 1-2 good portfolios out of 10. The rest are either outdated or completely newbies.

2. An employer is alarming. if you write: "10 years of experience", but your portfolio is weak. It's better to write honestly - your working experience is six months (even if you know 3D for a long time). Otherwise, the employer will have a wrong attitude towards you - what have you been doing for 10 years that you haven't learned anything? If you are a beginner, you can see the potential even in the weak works. If you have been doing it for a long time, update your portfolio and improve your skills! Some 3D artists are especially persistent, they send the same thing for several years.

3. It's also important what form you send your portfolio in. More than half is a zip archive of 50 megabytes. The employer has to download it, unzip it, and only then review it. There are about a dozen such archives a day. All these folders are mixed up, and you can't make out what's what. To save space and not to clutter the employer then starts to delete it. Then one day he remembers, "oh! there was a cool 3d artist, where is he?" He opens the mail, looking for it, downloads the archive with those very masterpieces of yours, and again all over again ... In the database of performers (which is usually an excel or google-documents) such a portfolio is also difficult to add. And you can't view such a portfolio from your phone, of course.

You shouldn't do it that way.

Make sure your portfolio is the best you can, and leave two or three or five excellent quality works in it. Use Behan's, for example - this site does a great job. And for 20 bucks a month it gives you a space to create your own site.
Or put all the pictures in an adequate size on google disk, dropbox and the like (not an archive!). Cloud storage gives you the ability to view pictures in a folder as a gallery. Or make your own site that you can just send your employer a link to.
Appreciate your time and the time of others.

Have a beautiful rendering!
