How to project a plane onto an curved surface?
The "Conform Brush" tool allows you to project a plane onto the surface of an object. It is convenient for creating paths on uneven ground.
Located in the Ribbon -> Freeform -> PolyDraw panel. If you don't have anything in the PolyDraw tab, convert the object to Editable Poly.
For everything to work correctly, select "Surface" (creating geometry by surface) in the "Draw on" scroll and specify the object. Also, increase "Full Strength" value (inner circle size) to "Falloff" value (outer circle size) to make displacement happen faster.
The strength of the shift is controlled by the "Conform" property. Hotkey Alt + LeftButtonMouse.
